Be a part of the San Diego Jewish community. From support for a single parent, mentoring programs, older adult centers, social programs for a individuals with a mental illness—Jewish Family Service offers many programs to connect you and your family to the San Diego Jewish community.

Programs and Services

Bikkur Holim Friendly Visitor - Friendly volunteers bring joy, conversation, community connection, and friendship to isolated Jewish older adults and homebound/ill individuals. 

Girls Give Back - We empower the next generation of women leaders to create meaningful change in the world around them through leadership, empowerment, and service-learning while developing social-mindedness, critical thinking, healthy self-esteem, and empathy.

Hebrew Free Loans - We offer several interest-free loans for small business and personal needs to members of the San Diego Jewish Community.

Jewish BIGPals - Jewish volunteer mentors serve as role models and friends to Jewish children from single parent and non-traditional families.

Jewish Healing Center - The Jewish Healing Center provides resources for the spiritual well-being of the Jewish community, including chaplaincy services.

JFS Employment & Career Services - Assists clients with obtaining the necessary tools for a successful job search. Services include educational workshops, personalized job search assistance, resume writing, and networking opportunities. Additional services for Jewish clients.

North Coastal Jewish Connections (NCJC) - Connects Jewish residents of the North County Coastal community to resources within Jewish Family Service, to other community resources, and to the broader community.

Rubenstein Family Scholarship - Scholarships are available for post-secondary education to qualified students who are residents of the San Diego Jewish community.  

Russian Jewish Community Services - We bring Jewish communal events and programs to the Russian Jewish community to help connect them to their heritage and Jewish traditions.

Serving Older Holocaust Survivors (SOS) - We are dedicated to ensuring our community’s Holocaust survivors spend their older adult years living in safe, supportive, and healthy environments.

Stars of David - An information and support network for Jewish and interfaith adoptive families provided through our Adoption Alliance program.

Supporting Jewish Single Parents - By providing support, advocacy, and social activities, we’re dedicated to ensuring Jewish single parents and their families stay connected to the Jewish community.
