Jewish Life for Russians
Linguistic and cultural barriers can make it difficult for Jewish Russian immigrants to connect to the San Diego Jewish community. But their desire to learn about their heritage and celebrate Jewish holidays in a communal environment is strong.
Jewish Life for Russians provides Jewish living workshops and organizes Jewish social programs in Russian. The program educates Jewish Russian immigrants about their Jewish roots, their heritage and Israel, and helps them become active members of the San Diego Jewish community.
Along with special Shabbat programs, Jewish Life for Russians offers programs for Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Hanukkah, Tu B’Shevat, Purim, Pesach, Israel Independence Day, and Shavuot.
