Russian Jewish Community Services
The Russian Jewish Community Services program connects Jewish Russian immigrants to the San Diego Jewish Community and creates strong community ties among Jewish Russian speakers. The program brings Jewish traditions to Russian immigrants who were unable to embrace their Jewish roots in their home country, and protects and cares for the Russian-speaking older adult population.

Jewish Life for Russians Linguistic and cultural barriers can make it difficult for Jewish Russian immigrants to connect to the San Diego Jewish community. But their desire to learn about their heritage and celebrate Jewish holidays in a communal environment is strong.
Jewish Life for Russians provides Jewish living workshops and organizes Jewish social programs in Russian. The program educates Jewish Russian immigrants about their Jewish roots, their heritage and Israel, and helps them become active members of the San Diego Jewish community.
Along with special Shabbat programs, Jewish Life for Russians offers programs for Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Hanukkah, Tu B’Shevat, Purim, Pesach, Israel Independence Day, and Shavuot.
