Senior Community Services
Employment Program (SCSEP)
SCSEP provides community services and work-based training opportunities to participants up to 20 hours a week at minimum wage. SCSEP participants receive assistance in developing an individual employment plan and have the opportunity to receive training in a wide variety of community service activities at nonprofit and public facilities, including daycare centers, senior centers, schools, and hospitals.
This community service training serves as a bridge to regular employment opportunities and is designed to facilitate stable, unsubsidized employment.
Thank you for your interest. Currently, there are no open positions.
If you still haven't found what you're looking for, call our JFS Access Line at (858) 637-3210. Our intake coordinator can connect you to a counselor or case manager who can work with you individually. All calls are completely confidential.
“ECS gave me ideas, helped with my resume, and trained me in interviews
and my job search. I enrolled and completed all the classes I could at
JFS. They were great and always encouraging in a very dark and desperate
time. My Case Manager helped me with everything, as did ECS. Food,
housing, job search—everything! I can’t say enough about the people at
JFS. The staff are great human beings who helped me survive.”
