Help neighbors experiencing hunger by participating in a Challah Bake! This meaningful opportunity is ideal for birthday parties, teambuilding, volunteer groups, and anyone looking to give back.
When: Challah bakes can be booked seven days a week, 9:00am-7:00pm.
We recommend 1.5-2 hours for your event.
Where: Turk Family Center, JFS–Joan & Irwin Jacobs Campus,
8804 Balboa Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123.
Why: Learn how JFS tackles food insecurity in our community while learning how to make challahs for shoppers at Lieber’s Corner Market. This unique on-campus grocery store allows people to select healthy food using points based on their family’s size and needs. See it for yourself on a campus tour!
