Whether it’s delivering meals, providing companionship to older adults, or assisting refugees in acclimating to their new home, there are opportunities for individuals of all ages, faiths, and backgrounds to contribute to a more robust and resilient San Diego. We believe in connecting volunteers to rewarding service opportunities that utilize their unique skills and talents. Many of our current volunteer positions are listed below. Help community members get back on their feet by providing emergency food assistance and other resources.
Be a mental health patient advocate, or support families by providing meals and diapers.
Provide safe & reliable transportation, friendship, or home repairs for older adults ensuring they remain healthy, connected to their community, and can age with dignity.
Support immigrant and refugee families in their journey towards stability and integration, providing essential services like translation, legal assistance, and community connection.
Help community members in JFS’s permanent housing program by delivering food and sorting donated items to be distributed to people experiencing homelessness.
Provide companionship, friendship, and life-enriching experiences to children from single-parent and non-traditional homes and to help them achieve their full potential through a 1:1 mentoring relationship.
Center for Jewish Care Volunteer Drivers provide no-contact home deliveries of holiday packages to Jewish Community members in need on a Quarterly basis.
