Position Description
Be part of Jewish Family Service’s new opportunity for high school-aged youth! Qualified Youth Volunteers (QYVs) will be eligible for volunteer service in roles typically reserved for those over 18-year-old or with a parent/guardian. This position is an opportunity for teens to learn about JFS programs and services and make an impact in your local community. QYVs will commit to volunteering at a minimum twice per month, and a quarterly check-in with fellow QYVs and JFS staff. QYVs will be asked to share JFS community projects (i.e. food drives) with their school and peer networks as appropriate to increase community support.
Eligibility Criteria
- Current high school student
- Interest in helping the community and deepening the impact of Jewish Family Service programs
- Availability to volunteer at a minimum 2 times per month
- Past volunteer or leadership experience preferred
