At JFS, we’re committed to fighting hunger and making sure that everyone in our community is food secure. Our reason for this is clear—we know that when families have enough to eat, they can more easily afford other necessities, fulfill their potential at work and school, and focus on long-term goals.
If you or someone you know needs help putting food on the table, we’re here for you. Community food distributions are offered throughout San Diego County and offer fresh produce, canned/dried goods, groceries, and pet food (when available).
Open to everyone.
Pre-registration is not required.

Distributions are held monthly on the second Sunday of each month, with two exceptions: in May, distribution will take place on the first Sunday, and in September, we will not host a Sunday distribution.

Thanks to a partnership with The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and other community donors, JFS can provide diapers at no cost to families. Providing diapers meets a basic yet essential need that directly affects child health, family well-being, and economic stability.
Currently, JFS provides diapers to existing or returning clients due to limited supply and high demand. We are not currently enrolling new clients whose sole need is diapers.
Families seeking diaper assistance are encouraged to contact other local diaper banks through the San Diego Food Bank network: Diaper Bank Program | San Diego Food Bank
We are actively monitoring community need and resources and hope to revisit the expansion of our diaper program in the future.
