Moving Forward Together

Youth Volunteers keep our community moving forward by giving their time and energy to support the important work being done at JFS.

Youth Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age to volunteer independently, or age 10-14 if volunteering with a parent/guardian.

Most volunteer opportunities occur on weekdays between 8:30am–3:00pm. These volunteer opportunities are perfect for school breaks or for kids whose schedules differ from a typical school schedule.

Help People Facing Hunger

Restock Lieber’s Corner Market

Keep Lieber’s Corner Market and Hand Up Food Pantry shelves stocked and organized. Volunteers transport food between the Pantry and the Market and ensure that displays are attractive and well maintained to create a happy shopping experience for our community.

Support Hand Up Food Pantry Warehouse

Help community members get back on their feet by providing emergency food assistance and resources. You will help with packing emergency food bags, sorting fresh produce, and more.

Prep Loonin Family Kitchen Meals

Assist with preparing hot meals and packaging frozen entrées and sides for meal deliveries. Occasionally, you may help with loading/unloading delivery vehicles and cleaning/straightening up the kitchen and storage area.

Host a Challah Bake

Ideal for groups of 10-30 people, challah bakes can be booked seven days a week, 9:00am-7:00pm. We recommend 1.5-2 hours for your event. You will be braiding the dough and going on a behind-the-scenes tour of the JFS-Joan & Irwin Jacobs Campus.
