Here for You: A Community Leader Conversation on Addressing Domestic Violence
Engage in a guided discussion with other leaders on domestic abuse and develop concrete next steps to create a welcoming community for survivors and their children.
When someone in a Jewish community is experiencing domestic violence, they often turn to a trusted communal space for help. Join like-minded organizations are thinking carefully about how to respond in ways that are thoughtful, responsible, and aligned with their role and values.
Organizations are encouraged to send one or two staff members to learn about domestic violence in the Jewish community, explore practical action steps for strengthening their organization’s response, and hear about the relaunch of Project SARAH by Jewish Family Service.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 11, 6:30-8:30PM
Hosted at Jewish Family Service of San Diego

Tools for Talking to Teens
Learn how to have meaningful discussions with teens about healthy relationships.
Whether you’re a parent, family member, coach, youth group leader, Sunday school teacher, or a trusted adult friend, you can help encourage healthy relationship behaviors and prevent teen dating violence. Many adults may not realize that the teens they know may be at risk, may miss early warning signs, or may feel unsure how to talk with young people about healthy versus unhealthy relationship behaviors.
This interactive workshop explores the dynamics of teen dating abuse, defines key qualities of healthy relationships, and offers practical, usable strategies to help adults have realistic, supportive, and effective conversations with teens.
THURSDAY, MARCH 12, 6:30-8:30PM
Hosted at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center

Healthy Relationships for Teens
This workshop is about helping you figure out what healthy relationships actually look like, and what to do when something feels off.
Relationships can be exciting, confusing, and sometimes stressful. We’ll talk honestly about boundaries, consent, and common red flags, without judgment or pressure. You’ll learn how to trust your instincts, speak up for yourself, and support a friend if they’re dealing with an unhealthy relationship.
This is a practical, interactive session where your questions matter and real-life situations are part of the conversation.
For questions, please contact Shira Jacobs, Executive Director, JFS Center for Jewish Wellbeing, at [email protected].
