San Diego, CA — Kindness Initiative (KI) and Jewish Family Service of San Diego (JFS) are deepening a coordinated effort to better serve Jewish individuals and families in need across the community — while remaining fully independent organizations.

Effective June 1, 2026, Kindness Initiative will co-locate its Member Services case management division at the Jewish Family Service Joan & Irwin Jacobs Campus in Kearny Mesa (8804 Balboa Avenue, 92123).

“People facing difficult life challenges often require multiple forms of support,” said Dana Toppel, CEO of Jewish Family Service of San Diego. “This effort is about enhancing coordination so individuals and families can access the right support more seamlessly, while each organization continues to deliver its distinct services.”

“Kindness Initiative and Jewish Family Service each play important and complementary roles in the community,” said Selwyn Isakow, Chairman of the Board of Kindness Initiative. “By working more closely in a shared environment, we can better coordinate our efforts, leverage our respective strengths, optimize our resources, and most importantly, improve the impact on those we serve.”
