Our Mother’s Day video reflects on unjust U.S. immigration policy that continues to separate mothers from their families. At a time when we should be looking to protect our communities, law enforcement continues funneling people into dehumanizing and inhumane immigrant detention centers during COVID19. Human lives are at stake. Listen to Briseida, a JFS client, tell her story. She was recently released from the Otay Mesa ICE Detention Facility, where over 200 people have tested positive for COVID-19.
