AmeriCorps Community Partnership
Volunteer Infrastructure Project
Jewish Family Service is proud to host the AmeriCorps Volunteer Infrastructure Project (VIP) for San Diego County.
JFS will train and coach 12 AmeriCorps VIP Fellows in the best practices of volunteer recruitment and management. They will then be placed within nonprofits throughout the community to develop and enhance existing volunteer programs. Even as some nonprofit budgets shrink, adding volunteer support can enable these organizations to sustain their services for families and children.
"AmeriCorps is more than a service opportunity – it’s a community builder. The VIP program is a great fit for anyone looking to gain work experience in a way that has the potential to make a tangible difference."
—Lauren Kraft, AmeriCorps VIP
