Jewish Family Service is proud to host the AmeriCorps Volunteer Infrastructure Project (VIP) for San Diego County. JFS will train and coach AmeriCorps VIP Fellows in the best practices of volunteer recruitment and management. They will then be placed within nonprofits throughout the community to develop and enhance existing volunteer programs.
We serve. We lead. We get things done. We are VIP.
Through the Volunteer Infrastructure Project (VIP), teams of AmeriCorps members are placed in communities to provide infrastructure support for volunteer programs in service organizations across California. Through 1,700 hours of service, Fellows build the systems necessary for organizations to have volunteer programs for years to come, ensuring that services can continue to those most in need. VIP Fellows work behind-the-scenes of service, allowing volunteers to take part in necessary programs and ensuring that the community’s needs are met.
