With daily exercise classes, art classes, games, cultural programs, and live entertainment, the College Avenue Older Adult Center is a great place to spend your day. Meet new friends while learning in our Cyber Cafe, exercise in the many different class offerings, watch a newly released movie on our large screen, and enjoy good conversations over hot kosher lunches served daily. Full of warmth and energy, you’re sure to leave the Center with a smile.
Salad Bar Now Open 4 Days a Week! As part of the College Avenue Older Adult Center’s philosophy to promote healthy aging among older adults, the Center offers a soup and salad bar as a lunchtime meal choice! This lunchtime alternative is funded by a grant from the County of San Diego, Aging & Independence Services.
The soup and salad bar is now available Mondays through Thursdays, and includes all the fixings for a nutritious and flavorful mid-day lighter meal: soup, salad greens, fruit, vegetables, dressings, protein, and bread. With the salad bar, the Center is able to offer both a hot and cold kosher lunch option as well as fresh produce, seasonal menu items, and vegetarian meal options. The soup and salad bar also is available to go.
