Learn More About… What is a NORC? Why bring supportive services to designated NORCs? Who is eligible? How much does it cost? What programs are offered? What kind of support is given?
What is a NORC? A Naturally Occurring Retirement Community (NORC) is a specific community where residents have aged in place, resulting in the majority of the households being headed by an older adult. There are approximately 50 funded NORCs across the United States, all with the same goal of helping those over 60 to age in place.

Why bring supportive services to designated NORCs? There are many resources in the community for older adults, but these resources are sometimes difficult to access. The CO-OP program creates a link between NORC residents and services. CO-OP provides social programming, transportation, social services, and more to NORC residents, eliminating the barriers often resulting from a lack of transportation and accessibility.

Geriatric Care Managers are available to meet with you to help explore the resources, options and possibilities available to you as a caregiver and your family.
